No Experience Required

It’s unusual to see Michael Kinsley and George Will making similar points in their columns. I guess that’s what happens when the Republican party does a complete about-face on the issue of requisite experience in the presidential race by nominating Sarah Palin for the Vice Presidential position. But it doesn’t look like everyone gets it. The current Republican spin is that Palin has foreign policy experience because she governs Alaska, which is next to Russia. Seriously; they’re saying that with a straight face. Is this some personal challenge among Republicans to see who can make the craziest spin catch on with the most people?
