The Bumper-Sticker Metric
Jun 11th, 2008 by nick
In this campaign season so far, I’ve seen hundreds of cars sporting Barack Obama bumper stickers. I’ve seen, literally, one single car with a John McCain sticker. Granted, my sampling areas of Colorado and the San Francisco Bay Area are probably not representative of the nation as a whole. In Colorado Springs, the conservatives seem to be more of the Huckabee sort. And in the Bay Area, well, there just aren’t that many conservatives. Nonetheless, I think this disparity is representative of the difference in excitement generated by the two candidates. Hopefully, the current enthusiasm will lead to a huge election win for Obama.
