Anti-Clinton Inanity

Until recently, I’d blissfully forgotten the right-wing venom and inanity that Bill and Hillary Clinton seem to inspire. But a column titled, Tear-jerking Americas chain by Kathleen Parker brought it all back. Aside from the general silliness of the focus on Clinton’s “tears” at a campaign stop in New Hampshire, and the lack of basically any content whatsoever, this column descends into further levels of stupidity. To quote:
“But lets get something straight: Clinton wasn’t emotional because she cares deeply about the country. She was near tears because she cares deeply about becoming the first woman president.”
Note the lack of qualification here, like, “I think she was near tears…” or “Perhaps she was near tears…” No. Parker knows, without a doubt, Hillary’s reasoning, thinking, and emotions. Pretty amazing, given that most people don’t even understand their own internal emotions most of the time. But wait, it gets worse:
“[The Clinton’s] marital vows included a blueprint for leading the country, first as a two-fer and later with the former president slated to star as first laddie.”
Stop the presses! The Clintons didn’t just plan their world domination; they actually included it in their marital vows! Another stunning contribution to our national political discourse.
Unfortunately for Parker and her ilk, I have news for her: The more I read this kind of idiocy, the more inspired I am not only to vote for Hillary, but to do everything I can to ensure that she’s elected president.
